litfilms - Literatur Film Festival Münster 2020 - Our Artists in Residence

Published on

The program of litfilms, the new literature film festival in autumn, takes increasingly shape. A four-month residency giving writers and filmmakers time, space, and budget to work together will be a significant element of the program.

The artists will spend part of the time in Münster as well as another part within the Münsterland. Under the title "Intermediate Spaces", they are encouraged to enter into an artistic dialogue with themselves, each other, and the immediate region. They will research as well as create their own works, all of them emerging at the interface between text and the audiovisual medium. In the end, their results will be presented to and discussed with a larger audience in Münster and the surrounding area.

34 writers and filmmakers have applied for the two residencies. A multi-stage selection process finally determined the two artists invited to Münster and the surrounding area for a residency: Sandra Reyes and Thomas Empl.
